#SeeSummerBetter

Let me tell you a little bit about Warby Parker in case you're not familiar.

Warby Parker is an eye wear company founded on the simple principal that style and quality does not have to come at lofty cost and should be available for all. They really do mean ALL, for every pair of glasses purchased they give away a pair to someone in need, read more about their Buy a pair, Give a pair campaign here.

A company that can combine style, reasonable prices and philanthropy is a company I am willing to attach my name to!

So here are a few frames that I am waiting to get in the mail with WP's Home Try-On program! You can choose five pairs totally FREE and try them out for five days, keep what you like, send the rest back! Stay tuned to see how I style these frames & check things off my Summer Bucket List!

I loved these Crossfield sunnies in "polished gold" I think these are perfect for an afternoon BBQ. I would pair these with a more causal look. Think: jean shorts, loose tank & strappy sandals!

"Jet Black" color for these Raglan frames are super chic and classic. I would wear these with a black dress, red lip & heels for outdoor patio drinks (mocktails for me!) turned into dinner somewhere fabulous in the city!  I'm channeling my DC days with these babies!

I love the beachy vibe I get from the Jennings very appropriately named "beach glass". If you haven't already guessed, these are my beach or pool day frames. Cute suit and lots of SPF!

There are few things I love more than a vintage inspired piece, and these Piper frames speak to me! I think these would be perfect for an afternoon wedding (if you've been following along you know we have no shortage of these!) They are glamerous enough for a wedding and would be dressed perfectly with a colored lip, lots of volume for my hair & some pearls!

Then there are the Reilly in Marzipan Tortoise these caught my eye from the second I landed on Warby Parker. I love a good tortoise shell- these pretties look like they belong to me. I think I am going to have a hard time not adding these to my collection, and wearing them daily!

Head on over to Warby Parker to #SeeSummerBetter in some fabulous new frames!

Summer Wish List

As the warm weather rolls in I have been in search of a few key pieces, here is what I have my eye on for various events this summer!

I am in LOVE with this Eliza J dress! I think it is perfect for a summer wedding, for which I have several :)

First let's thank Nordstrom for putting the length of this dress on the site. I would not have looked twice at the dress given how short is on the model, however at my towering 5ft 1 in I think I will be safe! This dress is perfect for a more casual bridal shower or day time party!

Oliver & I have a few little getaways planned and beach days. I think these cover ups are perfect for the beach to lunch routine I have in mind! PS the blue & white cover up is on sale 40% off!

As I write this I am hoping my sweet Husband does NOT read this post because if I come home with one more pair of Jack Rogers sandals I think he will actually have me committed. However I do not have a monogrammed pair and I do think it would be a lovely anniversary present! (You have to order in advance Oliver!;) )

Also just a little FYI Nordstrom is having their 1/2 Annual Sale from now until May 31st! The savings is up to 40% off! Jack Rogers is also having a sale on select items for Memorial Day so make sure to head on over there as well!

Happy Shopping :)

Spring Stitch Fix!

I had taken a break from my Stitch Fix shipments because I felt like I had rounded out my winter wardrobe, but as soon as the snow melted I was back at it with high hopes for spring!

I had requested Spring & Summer dresses (I have lots of weddings/showers and events coming up) and bright colors! I got a few pieces I absolutely LOVED so naturally I wanted to share them with you all.

I will start with my not so favorite pieces- I received two dresses that did not flatter my figure at all. The blue one below had a cute style but not for my body shape so I sent that one back. I did really like the pattern of the tie dye-ish one on but it was too tight and wasn't flattering.

No surprise I decided to keep these two blouses- I always keep the shirts for some reason! I absolutely loved the lace sleeves on this one, and navy is definitely one of my favorites. I already have a pink floral skirt in mind that I will be pairing this one with once I dig out my summer clothes!

What I loved most about this teal one was the color, but also it was slightly different than something  I would normally choose. I loved the polka dots and lace neckline. I have already worn this one to work and I received lots of compliments!

Lastly this dress was something I was not 100% sure I wanted to keep. Ultimately I did keep it because I felt it would be good for daytime events this summer, it is flowy and comfortable two things I appreciate when it comes to Summer BBQ's!

Overall I was really happy with my fix, I felt I got a few pieces which I will wear over and over again! If you're interested in checking out Stitch Fix use this link to get yourself started! :)

Lilly for Target

Okay let's talk about the epic disappointment that was Lilly for Target. My sister and law & I were at our local Target (after a quick Dunkins run) at 7:45am. We got a prime parking spot and were there long before those doors open. There were many people waiting at the front entrance but we parked around back thinking we knew something other people did not. Boy were we wrong. They did not open the back door until 5 precious minutes after the front. By the time we made it over to the Lilly section this is what it looked like...

Then there were women (who were not acting like Ladies) with overflowing carriages taking things out of other people's carriages when they were not looking!! I was in total shock, it took everything in my power not to give them a piece of my mind. Then I realize if these women were so desperate as to steal from other women's carriages then I should promptly shut my trap because who knows where they draw the line.

We stuck around for a few minutes to see if people would put things back but no such luck. My Mom happened to be in NH at the time so we convinced her to pop into the Target in Nashua and they were also completely sold out! Better luck next time!

Did you score any great finds?

A girl can dream...

I am in LOVE with these sandals, I thought of at least two dozen events I would wear them to, and how cute they would look with a fun colored pedicure and a good tan! My single girl self really got caught up there for a minute, I had minimal bills, worked overtime and "splurged" more than I should! I have yet to find a suitable alternative to these, not sure I ever really will but for now I will continue to drool over these until I do!
